The Galaxy Tab Active 2 has a score of 70, which is better than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0's general score of 62.8. Both of these tablets use Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Tab Active 2 has a newer 9.0 Pie version while Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has Android 7.1 Nougat. Galaxy Tab Active 2's construction is a lot newer, but extremely thicker and notably heavier than Galaxy Tab A 8.0.
The Galaxy Tab Active 2 has a bit more powerful CPU than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has a higher number of cores (and faster) and a higher amount of RAM memory. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 has a bit superior battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has 4450mAh of battery capacity.
Although Galaxy Tab Active 2 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy Tab A 8.0. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Galaxy Tab Active 2, otherwise you can save some money and buy the Galaxy Tab A 8.0, letting go some specifications.
