Galaxy Tab Active 2 has a general score of 70, which is much better than the Galaxy Tab A 9.7's score of 60.5. Even though the Galaxy Tab Active 2 is incredibly thicker than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, it's just a little bit lighter and also noticeably newer. These tablets come with Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy Tab Active 2 has a newer 9.0 Pie version and Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has Android 7.1 Nougat.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 has a sharper screen than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a quite better 800 x 1280px resolution and a better display pixel density. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 features more storage for games and applications than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 also has a slot for an SD memory card that supports up to 256 GB.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 has just a little better performance than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because it has a larger amount of RAM memory and a higher number of cores. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 takes much better photographs and videos than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because it has a way better video definition and a much more MP camera.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 counts with superior battery performance than Galaxy Tab Active 2, because it has 6000mAh of battery capacity against 4450mAh.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2, otherwise you can save some money and buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, giving up some specs and features.
