The Galaxy Tab Active 2 has an overall score of 70, which is just a bit better than the Xperia Tablet Z's general score of 68.5. Both of these tablets include Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Tab Active 2 has 9.0 Pie version while Xperia Tablet Z has Android 4.4.4. Galaxy Tab Active 2's design is newer and lighter than Xperia Tablet Z's, but it's also noticeably thicker.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 counts with a little faster processor than Xperia Tablet Z, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, it also counts with more RAM and a larger number of cores (and faster). Xperia Tablet Z features a much better display than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2, because it has a way higher 1200 x 1920 resolution, a larger screen and a little bit more pixels per inch in the screen.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 captures much clearer videos and photos than Sony Xperia Tablet Z, although it has a lesser MP back-facing camera and a lower 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution. Sony Xperia Tablet Z counts with a slightly bigger memory for games and applications than Galaxy Tab Active 2, because although it has an external memory slot that allows up to 64 GB against 256 GB, it also counts with more internal storage capacity.
Xperia Tablet Z features improved battery performance than Galaxy Tab Active 2, because it has a 6000mAh battery capacity instead of 4450mAh.
Despite of being the best tablet of the ones we are comparing, Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 is also by far the cheapest one.
