Comparison review
Galaxy Tab Active 3 has a general score of 79, which is better than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9's score of 68.5. Galaxy Tab Active 3's design is notably newer than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9's, although it's a little heavier and way thicker. Both of these tablets use Android OS, but the Galaxy Tab Active 3 has the older 10 version while Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has Android 4.2.2.
Galaxy Tab Active 3 counts with a bit more powerful processing unit than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processor, it also counts with 2 GB more RAM and a larger number of cores (and also faster). The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a much sharper screen than Galaxy Tab Active 3, because it has a higher 1600 x 2560px resolution, a little higher amount of pixels in each inch of display and a little bigger display.
The Galaxy Tab Active 3 has a superior memory capacity to store more games and applications than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage, the Galaxy Tab Active 3 also has a slot for external memory cards that allows up to 1 TB. The Galaxy Tab Active 3 takes much better pictures and videos than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, because it has a camera in the back with much more mega-pixels.
Galaxy Tab Active 3 features a really longer battery lifetime than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9.
