Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 has an overall score of 79, which is much better than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1's 67.8 overall score. Even though the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 is incredibly thicker than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, it's lighter and also extremely newer. Both of these tablets include Android OS, but Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 has 10 version while Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has Android 4.4.2 version.
Galaxy Tab Active 3 features a superior performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics co-processor, it also counts with a larger amount of RAM memory and a greater number of cores. Galaxy Tab Active 3 features a little bit better looking screen than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because although it has a really smaller display, it also counts with a lot greater pixel quantity per inch in the screen and a much higher resolution of 1200 x 1920.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 shoots a lot better pictures and videos than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because it has a back-facing camera with way more MP and a much better 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 has a superior storage for applications and games than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because it has 64 GB internal memory and a slot for an external memory card that admits up to 1 TB.
The Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 counts with a really longer battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3, because it has 6800mAh of battery capacity instead of 5050mAh.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, letting go some features and specs.
