Galaxy Tab Active 3 is a bit better than the Galaxy Tab S 10.5, with a global score of 79 against 74.3. These tablets work with Android operating system, but Galaxy Tab Active 3 has the previous 10 version while Galaxy Tab S 10.5 has Android 4.4.2. Galaxy Tab Active 3 is a way newer and just a bit lighter portable tablet than Galaxy Tab S 10.5, although it's noticeably thicker.
Galaxy Tab S 10.5 features a better screen than Galaxy Tab Active 3, because it has a lot larger screen, a higher resolution of 1600 x 2560px and a just a little better display pixels density. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 counts with a little better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab S 10.5, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 also has a larger amount of RAM memory.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 shoots much clearer photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5, because it has a way better 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and a back facing camera with a much higher resolution. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 has a way bigger memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5, because it has an external SD slot that allows up to 1 TB and 64 GB internal memory.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 features a very superior battery life than Galaxy Tab Active 3, because it has a 56 percent greater battery size.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Galaxy Tab S 10.5, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy Tab S 10.5. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Galaxy Tab S 10.5, letting go some features and specifications.
