Comparison review
The Galaxy Tab Active 3 is a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, getting a 79 score against 74.5. The Galaxy Tab Active 3 is a newer tablet than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, but it's incredibly thicker and noticeably heavier. These tablets use Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab Active 3 has an older 10 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has Android 4.4.2 version.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with a more vivid display than Galaxy Tab Active 3, because it has a better 2560 x 1600px resolution, a higher amount of pixels per inch in the display and a quite bigger screen. The Galaxy Tab Active 3 has a bit better processing power than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy Tab Active 3 also has a higher amount of RAM memory.
Galaxy Tab Active 3 counts with a better camera than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has a much higher 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and a much more MP back camera. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 counts with a lot bigger storage capacity to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has 64 GB internal memory and a slot for an external memory card that admits up to 1 TB.
The Galaxy Tab Active 3 features just a bit better battery life than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has 5050mAh of battery capacity.
Although Galaxy Tab Active 3 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy Tab S 8.4. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Galaxy Tab Active 3, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Galaxy Tab S 8.4, giving up some specifications.
