The Galaxy Tab Active is just a bit better than Huawei MediaPad M1, getting a 67 score against 61.5. These tablets have Android operating system, but Galaxy Tab Active has a newer 4.4 version while Huawei MediaPad M1 has Android 4.2.2 version, giving a lot of extra features and performance improvements. The Galaxy Tab Active construction is heavier and thicker than Huawei MediaPad M1.
The Huawei MediaPad M1's processor is very similar to the processor in Galaxy Tab Active, and although the Huawei MediaPad M1 has doesn't have an additional graphics processor and a smaller amount of RAM, they both have the same number of cores. Huawei MediaPad M1 has a display that is just as good as the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active one, both have an equal 1280 x 800px resolution, a display of the same size and the same quantity of pixels in each display inch.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active captures slightly better videos and photos than Huawei MediaPad M1, although it has a way lower video resolution and a camera in the back with a lot worse 3.1 mega pixels resolution. The Galaxy Tab Active counts with a much greater storage to install applications and games than Huawei MediaPad M1, because it has 16 GB internal storage capacity and a slot for an SD memory card that holds up to 64 GB.
The Huawei MediaPad M1 counts with just a bit better battery life than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, because it has an 8% more battery capacity.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is a better device, it is way more expensive than Huawei MediaPad M1, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Huawei MediaPad M1. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Huawei MediaPad M1, letting go a couple features and specifications.
