Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is slightly better than Microsoft Surface 2, with a 67 score against 63.4. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active counts with Android 4.4 OS, and Microsoft Surface 2 comes with Windows RT 8.1 OS. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active body is newer and incredibly lighter than the Microsoft Surface 2's, although it's also a little bit thicker.
Galaxy Tab Active features a little bit better display than Microsoft Surface 2, although it has a way lower 1280 x 800 resolution, a bit worse pixels density and a much smaller display. Microsoft Surface 2 features a much better storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 48 GB more internal storage capacity.
Microsoft Surface 2 has a little faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processor, and they both have 4 processing cores, the Microsoft Surface 2 also counts with more RAM memory. Galaxy Tab Active counts with a slightly better camera than Microsoft Surface 2, although it has a back camera with way less megapixels resolution and a much worse 1280x720 video definition.
