Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has a general score of 67, which is slightly better than the Microsoft Surface 3's 66.3 global score. Even though the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active and Microsoft Surface 3 were released only 8 months apart, Samsung Galaxy Tab Active's body is way lighter but also thicker than Microsoft Surface 3.
Microsoft Surface 3 counts with a bit better CPU than Galaxy Tab Active, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processor, and they both have 4 processing cores, the Microsoft Surface 3 also counts with a greater amount of RAM memory. The Galaxy Tab Active has a little more vivid screen than Microsoft Surface 3, although it has a bit lower amount of pixels per inch of screen, a much lower 1280 x 800 resolution and a lot smaller screen.
The Microsoft Surface 3 counts with a much greater storage capacity to install games and applications than Galaxy Tab Active, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with more internal storage. Microsoft Surface 3 has a slightly better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, because it has a much higher 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition and a camera with a way higher resolution.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has a very superior battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface 3.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is a better device, it costs more than Microsoft Surface 3, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Microsoft Surface 3. If you want to save a few dollars, you can get the Microsoft Surface 3, and give up a few specs and features, but you will get the most with your savings.
