Comparison review
Galaxy Tab Active has a general score of 67, which is a little bit better than the Microsoft Surface Pro 2's general score of 65.1. Galaxy Tab Active is a newer tablet, and it's also a lot lighter and notably thinner than the Microsoft Surface Pro 2. Galaxy Tab Active works with Android 4.4 OS, and Microsoft Surface Pro 2 comes with Windows 8.1 Pro OS.
Galaxy Tab Active features just a bit better looking screen than Microsoft Surface Pro 2, although it has a bit lower number of pixels per inch of screen, a much smaller display and a way lower resolution of 1280 x 800. The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 counts with a lot bigger memory for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with more internal storage capacity.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 features a little faster processing unit than Galaxy Tab Active, because although it has less processing cores and doesn't have a graphics processing unit, it also counts with 6,5 GB more RAM memory. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active features a much better camera than Microsoft Surface Pro 2. Both have the same (HD) video quality and the same 30 fps video frame rate.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has a really longer battery duration than Microsoft Surface Pro 2.
Although Galaxy Tab Active is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Microsoft Surface Pro 2, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Microsoft Surface Pro 2. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Galaxy Tab Active, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Microsoft Surface Pro 2, letting go some specifications.
