Comparison review

Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is slightly better than the Galaxy Tab Active, with a 72.2 score against 67. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has Windows 8.1 Pro operating system, while Galaxy Tab Active counts with Android 4.4 operating system. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 design is a little thinner but incredibly heavier than Galaxy Tab Active, and both were only released 4 months apart.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Active counts with a bit more vivid screen than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, although it has a way worse 1280 x 800 resolution, a quite lower pixel count per inch in the screen and a much smaller display. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 features a little better performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, because although it has a lower number of cores (although faster) and doesn't have an extra GPU, it also counts with a larger amount of RAM memory.

Microsoft Surface Pro 3 features a very superior storage for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 512 GB internal storage. The Galaxy Tab Active counts with a way better battery life than Microsoft Surface Pro 3.

Galaxy Tab Active features just a bit better camera than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, although it has a much worse 1280x720 video definition and a much less megapixels camera.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 costs more money than the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, but it's still a convenient choice, because you can get a better tablet for that extra money.
