Comparison review
The Galaxy Tab Active is slightly better than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, having a 67 score against 65. The Galaxy Tab Active construction is newer and notably lighter, but somewhat thicker than Samsung ATIV Tab 3. Galaxy Tab Active counts with Android 4.4 operating system, while Samsung ATIV Tab 3 comes with Windows 8 operating system.
Samsung ATIV Tab 3 counts with a CPU that's very similar to Galaxy Tab Active's CPU, because although the Samsung ATIV Tab 3 has an inferior number of cores and doesn't have a graphics processor, it also counts with a larger amount of RAM memory. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active features a slightly better display than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because although it has a little worse resolution of 1280 x 800px and a much smaller display, it also counts with a just a bit greater quantity of pixels per display inch.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active takes much clearer photographs and videos than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, although it has a lot lower (HD) video quality and a back-facing camera with a lot lower resolution. The Samsung ATIV Tab 3 features a way bigger memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab Active, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with more internal memory capacity.
Galaxy Tab Active features a much better battery duration than Samsung ATIV Tab 3.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Samsung ATIV Tab 3. If you want to save some money, you can buy the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, letting go a few features and specifications, but you will get the most out of your money.
