The Galaxy Tab Active is a little bit better than the Galaxy Note 10.1, getting a score of 67 against 66.3. Although Galaxy Tab Active is just a little bit thicker than Galaxy Note 10.1, it's incredibly lighter and a lot newer. Both tablets we are comparing have the same Android 4.4 operating system.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has a little bit better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, because although it has lesser RAM memory, and they both have the same number of cores, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active also counts with a graphics co-processor. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active features a more vivid screen than Galaxy Note 10.1, because although it has a really smaller display, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 1280 x 800px, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active also counts with a greater screen density.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 has a superior memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab Active, because although it has an external SD slot that supports a maximum of 32 GB against 64 GB, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage capacity. Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 has a very superior battery performance than Galaxy Tab Active, because it has a 57 percent greater battery capacity.
The Galaxy Tab Active shoots much better videos and photos than Galaxy Note 10.1, although it has a worse (HD) video quality and a back-facing camera with a way lower 3.1 mega-pixels resolution.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is a better device, it costs more than the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, letting go a couple specifications.
