Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is slightly better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE, getting a 67 score against 62.5. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active's design is thicker but lighter than Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE. Both tablets in this comparison review have Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has the newer 4.4 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE has Android 3.1, so it gives you some nice extra features and enhanced performance.

Galaxy Tab Active counts with a bit more vivid display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE, because although it has a way smaller display, and they both have the same exact 1280 x 800px resolution, the Galaxy Tab Active also counts with a better screen pixel density. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active counts with a bit more powerful processor than Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE, because it has an additional graphics processor, more CPU cores and a larger amount of RAM memory.

The Galaxy Tab Active captures better videos and photos than Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same video definition, the Galaxy Tab Active also has a camera with more megapixels. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has a bit more memory capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE, because although it has 0 less internal storage capacity, it also counts with a SD extension slot that admits a maximum of 64 GB.

Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE has a much better battery life than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, because it has 6800mAh of battery capacity.

Although Galaxy Tab Active is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Galaxy Tab Active, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE, letting go some specifications.
