The Galaxy Tab Active has a general score of 67, which is better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1's general score of 58.1. Both tablets in this review have Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Tab Active has a more recent 4.4 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 has Android 4.0.4 version, so it gives some additional features. The Galaxy Tab Active design is incredibly newer and noticeably lighter, but also somewhat thicker than Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.
Galaxy Tab Active counts with a slightly better display than Galaxy Tab 10.1, because although it has a really smaller screen, and they both have an equal resolution of 1280 x 800, the Galaxy Tab Active also counts with more pixels per inch of display. The Galaxy Tab Active features a quite better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, because it has a graphics processor and more CPU cores.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active counts with just a bit bigger memory capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy Tab 10.1, because although it has 0 less internal storage, it also counts with an external memory slot that allows up to 64 GB. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 has a very superior battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, because it has 6800mAh of battery capacity against 4450mAh.
The Galaxy Tab 10.1 shoots a little bit better videos and photos than Galaxy Tab Active, because although it has a lower resolution camera, it also counts with a way higher (Full HD) video quality.
Galaxy Tab Active is more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, but it's still a great choice, because you can get a much better tablet for that extra money.
