Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), having a 67 score against 65. Both tablets in this comparison review have Android operating system, but Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has newer 4.4 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has Android 4.1. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active's construction has the same thickness than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), but it is incredibly lighter.
The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has a processing unit that is very similar to the Galaxy Tab Active one, although the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has a lower number of cores , a slower 400 megahertz graphics processor and a smaller amount of RAM. Galaxy Tab Active counts with just a bit better display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), because although it has a way smaller display, and they both have an equal resolution of 1280 x 800px, the Galaxy Tab Active also counts with a better display density.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active captures much clearer photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), and although they both have the same 1280x720 (HD) video definition and the same video frame rates, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active also has a back camera with a better resolution. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has a little bit better storage for games and applications than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), and although they both have the same internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active also has a SD card slot that admits up to 64 GB.
The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) features a much better battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, because it has a 7000mAh battery size.
Although Galaxy Tab Active is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T). If you are trying to save some money, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), giving up some specs and features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
