The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is better than Galaxy Tab Active, with a general score of 74.5 against 67. Even though Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and the Galaxy Tab Active were released with only a few months difference, Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is notably lighter and a lot thinner. Both of these devices come with Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has the newer 4.4.2 version and Galaxy Tab Active has Android 4.4 version, so it provides you a couple nice extra features and a performance increase.
The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with a better looking screen than Galaxy Tab Active, because it has a much higher display pixels density, a lot higher resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a bit bigger display. Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with just a bit better processing power than Galaxy Tab Active, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processor, it also counts with more RAM memory and more processing cores.
Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features a much greater memory for apps and games than Galaxy Tab Active, because it has a SD memory slot that supports a maximum of 128 GB and more internal storage capacity. The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with a bit better battery duration than Galaxy Tab Active, because it has a 4900mAh battery capacity.
Galaxy Tab S 8.4 takes much clearer photos and videos than Galaxy Tab Active, because it has a much better 1920x1080 video resolution and a camera in the back with a much higher resolution.
