The Galaxy Tab Active Pro has a global score of 77.5, which is a bit better than Huawei MediaPad M5 8's overall score of 75.5. Both of these tablets work with Android operating system, but Galaxy Tab Active Pro has the newer 9.0 Pie version while Huawei MediaPad M5 8 has Android 8.0 Oreo version, providing some additional features. Even though Galaxy Tab Active Pro is newer than Huawei MediaPad M5 8, it is way thicker and much heavier.
The Huawei MediaPad M5 8 counts with a brighter screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active Pro, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a much higher pixel density and a higher 1600 x 2560 resolution. The Huawei MediaPad M5 8 has a little bit better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab Active Pro. Both have the same number of cores and 4 GB of RAM.

Huawei MediaPad M5 8 counts with more storage capacity to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active Pro, because although it has a SD extension slot that admits 256 GB smaller, it also counts with more internal storage capacity.
Galaxy Tab Active Pro has a very superior battery life than Huawei MediaPad M5 8, because it has 7600mAh of battery capacity.
