The Galaxy Tab E 8.0 has an overall score of 64.9, which is a bit better than the Microsoft Surface 2's 63.4 score. The Galaxy Tab E 8.0 design has the same thickness than the Microsoft Surface 2, but it's notably lighter. Galaxy Tab E 8.0 has Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, and Microsoft Surface 2 works with Windows RT 8.1 OS.

Microsoft Surface 2 features a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab E 8.0, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Microsoft Surface 2 also has a greater amount of RAM memory.
