The Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 has a score of 64.9, which is just a bit better than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0)'s 60.7 score. Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0's construction is notably newer and somewhat thinner, but a little heavier than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0). These devices have Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 has the newer 5.1 Lollipop version while Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has Android 4.1 version, counting with lots of additional features.

The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has a sharper display than Galaxy Tab E 8.0, although it has a little bit inferior amount of pixels per screen inch, a way worse 600 x 1024 pixels resolution and a quite smaller screen. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) features a little bit more memory capacity to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0, because although it has an external SD slot that supports a maximum of 32 GB against 128 GB, it also counts with 32 GB internal memory.

Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 features improved battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a 25% more battery capacity.
