Comparison review

The Galaxy Tab E 8.0 is just a bit better than the Galaxy Tab E, having a 64.9 score against 60.7. The Galaxy Tab E 8.0 design is notably lighter but just a bit thicker than the Galaxy Tab E, and both of them were only released with a couple of months difference. Both tablets in this comparison review include Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab E 8.0 has the newer 5.1 Lollipop version and Galaxy Tab E has Android 4.4 version.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab E features a little bit better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab E 8.0. Both have 1,5 GB of RAM and the same number of cores. The Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 features a little bit better display than Galaxy Tab E, because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have an equal resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels, the Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 also counts with a just a little better pixels amount in each inch of display.

Galaxy Tab E 8.0 has a better storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab E, and although they both have a SD extension slot that admits a maximum of 128 GB, the Galaxy Tab E 8.0 also has 16 GB internal memory capacity. Galaxy Tab E 8.0 has a battery lifetime that is very similar to Galaxy Tab E's battery lifetime.

Galaxy Tab E 8.0 captures much better photographs and videos than Galaxy Tab E. Both have a back facing camera with a 5 mega-pixels resolution, the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same (HD) video resolution.
