Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact has an overall score of 71.3, which is much better than Samsung Galaxy Tab E's 60.7 general score. Both tablets in this review work with the same Android 4.4 OS (Operating System). Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact's design is extremely thinner and noticeably lighter than Samsung Galaxy Tab E, despite of the fact that it was released only 10 months before.

Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact counts with a lot better looking display than Galaxy Tab E, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a lot better pixel amount per inch in the display and a much better 1920 x 1200px resolution. The Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact has a quite better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab E, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact also has an additional graphics processor and a higher amount of RAM memory.

Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact features a much better camera than Galaxy Tab E, because it has a much better 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality and a much better resolution camera in the back. Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact has more storage to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab E, and although they both have a SD memory slot that holds up to 128 GB, the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact also has 16 GB internal storage capacity.

Samsung Galaxy Tab E features a bit longer battery lifetime than Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, because it has a 5000mAh battery size.
