Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is much better than the Microsoft Surface 2, having a global score of 74.6 against 63.4. Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 has Android 4.4 operating system, and Microsoft Surface 2 works with Windows RT 8.1 operating system. Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1's design is somewhat thinner and noticeably lighter than the Microsoft Surface 2, even when they were only released with a couple months difference.
The Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 counts with a much better screen than Microsoft Surface 2, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a higher number of pixels per inch of screen and a better 1600 x 2560px resolution. Microsoft Surface 2 has slightly more storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 32 GB more internal memory.
The Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 features a little bit better performance than Microsoft Surface 2, and although they both have 2 GB of RAM memory and the same number of cores, the Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 also has an additional graphics processing unit. Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 has a much longer battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface 2.
Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 captures clearer photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface 2, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same (Full HD) video quality, the Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 also has a camera in the back with a lot higher resolution.
Despite of being the best tablet of the ones in this comparison, Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is also cheaper than the other tablet.
