Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 has a global score of 74.6, which is a lot better than Microsoft Surface RT's score of 58.4. The Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 works with Android 4.4 operating system, while Microsoft Surface RT comes with Windows RT operating system. The Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 design is newer, notably lighter and extremely thinner than Microsoft Surface RT.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 has a much sharper display than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a lot better 1600 x 2560 resolution and a way higher quantity of pixels per inch of display. Microsoft Surface RT counts with just a bit more storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 32 GB more internal storage capacity.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 has a little bit better hardware performance than Microsoft Surface RT, although it has a weaker GPU, they both have 2 GB of RAM memory and the same number of cores. The Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 counts with a much better battery life than Microsoft Surface RT. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 shoots much better photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same (Full HD) video definition, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 also has a back facing camera with much more mega-pixels.

Although Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Microsoft Surface RT, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Microsoft Surface RT. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can buy the Microsoft Surface RT, letting go a couple features, but you will get the most with your savings.
