Comparison review
Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 has an overall score of 74.6, which is just a bit better than Samsung ATIV Tab 5's 69.2 overall score. Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 has Android 4.4 OS, and Samsung ATIV Tab 5 has Windows 8 OS. Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is a newer tablet, and it is also extremely lighter and incredibly thinner than the Samsung ATIV Tab 5.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 features a faster processor than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, and although they both have 2 GB of RAM memory, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 also has a GPU and a higher number of cores. The Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 has a much more vibrant display than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a lot higher resolution of 1600 x 2560 and way more pixels per inch of screen.
The Samsung ATIV Tab 5 features a very superior storage capacity to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory. The Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 has a much better battery performance than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, because it has an 8220mAh battery size instead of 4080mAh.
The Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 captures just a bit better videos and photos than Samsung ATIV Tab 5. Both have a back camera with an 8 MP resolution.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Samsung ATIV Tab 5, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Samsung ATIV Tab 5. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can buy Samsung ATIV Tab 5, and give up a couple features, but you'll get the most with your budget.
