Comparison review
Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is much better than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, getting a 74.6 score against 67.8. Even though Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 and the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 were released only a couple months apart, Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is just a little bit lighter and a bit thinner. Both tablets we compare here have Android operating system, but Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 has the older 4.4 version while Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has Android 4.4.2.
The Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 features a quite better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and although they both have a 450 MHz graphics processing unit and 4 processing cores, the Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 also has a larger amount of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 has a much sharper screen than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and although they both have a display of the same size, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 also has a much greater pixel density and a way better resolution of 1600 x 2560.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 counts with a much greater storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and although they both have a slot for an external memory card that admits up to 64 GB, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 also has more internal memory.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 takes a little bit better videos and photos than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because it has a way higher (Full HD) video quality and a lot better 8 megapixels resolution back camera. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 has superior battery performance than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because it has 8220mAh of battery capacity against 6800mAh.
Although Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, giving up a couple features, but you'll get the most with your money.
