Comparison review
The Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, with a score of 74.6 against 74.5. Even being the best we are comparing, Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1's design is somewhat thicker and much heavier than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4. Both tablets in our current comparison work with Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 has the previous 4.4 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has Android 4.4.2.
Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features a little more vivid display than Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1, because although it has a quite smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 also counts with a quite higher pixel density. Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with a little bit more storage to store more apps and games than Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1, and although they both have the same 32 GB internal memory capacity, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 also has a SD memory card expansion slot that holds a maximum of 128 GB.
Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 features a bit better processing power than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because although it has lesser cores and a smaller amount of RAM, it also counts with a graphics processor. The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features a much better camera than Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1. Both have the same video frame rates, the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality and a back-facing camera with an 8 MP resolution.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 features a much better battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has an 8220mAh battery size against 4900mAh.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy Tab S 8.4. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Galaxy Tab S 8.4, resigning some features and specifications.
