The Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 comes with Android 4.4 OS, while Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has Windows 8.1 Pro OS. Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 is a thinner and a bit lighter tablet than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, although both of them were released with only 4 months difference.

Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 counts with a bit better CPU than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because although it has less RAM memory, it also counts with a larger number of faster cores and an additional graphics co-processor. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 counts with a brighter display than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because it has a slightly better 1600 x 2560 resolution, a bit better pixels count per display inch and a bit bigger screen.
