Comparison review
The Galaxy Tab Active 3 is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2, getting a score of 79 against 78.5. These tablets use Android OS, but the Galaxy Tab Active 3 has the newer 10 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 has Android 4.4, so it gives lots of additional features and performance tweaks. Although the Galaxy Tab Active 3 is noticeably thicker than Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2, it's extremely lighter and newer.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 has a little faster processor than Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processing unit, it also counts with 1 GB more RAM and 4 more cpu cores. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 counts with a bit better display than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3, because although it has a just a little worse pixels amount in each inch in the screen, it also counts with a really bigger display and a better resolution of 1600 x 2560.
Galaxy Tab Active 3 takes just a bit better pictures and videos than Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2, because it has a back-facing camera with way more mega-pixels and a much better (4K) video quality. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 counts with a way bigger memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2, and although they both have the same internal storage, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 also has an external memory card slot that admits up to 1 TB.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 has a much better battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3, because it has 9500mAh of battery capacity against 5050mAh.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2, letting go a couple features and specifications.
