Both devices in our current comparison use Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab S 10.5 has newer 4.4.2 version while Asus MeMO Pad 8 has Android 4.4, offering some nice extra features and performance improvements.
The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 has a bit sharper screen than Asus MeMO Pad 8, because it has a better resolution of 1600 x 2560px, a quite better pixel density and a way larger screen.
