Comparison review

The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 is a little bit better than the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016), getting a 74.3 score against 70.2. Both of these tablets have Android OS, but the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 has the previous 4.4.2 version and Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) has Android 8.1 Oreo. Galaxy Tab S 10.5 is an older tablet than the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016), but Samsung managed to build it somewhat lighter and thinner anyway.

Galaxy Tab S 10.5 counts with just a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016), and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 also has more RAM memory. Galaxy Tab S 10.5 has a much more vibrant screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016), because it has a higher 1600 x 2560 resolution, a greater display pixels density and a little bit bigger display.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) has a better camera than Galaxy Tab S 10.5. Both of them have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution and a back facing camera with an 8 mega-pixels. Galaxy Tab S 10.5 features a bigger memory to store more apps and games than Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016), because although it has a slot for external memory cards that supports up to 128 GB against 200 GB, it also counts with 32 GB internal memory.

Galaxy Tab S 10.5 counts with just a little better battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016), because it has an 8% greater battery capacity.
