Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a score of 74.5, which is much better than Alcatel JOY TAB 2's 62.5 score. Both of these tablets come with Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a more recent 4.4.2 version while Alcatel JOY TAB 2 has Android 10 version, providing lots of additional features. The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is an noticeably older tablet than the Alcatel JOY TAB 2, but Samsung managed to build it a bit lighter and much thinner anyway.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a much sharper display than Alcatel JOY TAB 2, because it has a lot better pixels amount per display inch, a much better 2560 x 1600px resolution and a little bigger display. The Alcatel JOY TAB 2 counts with a little bit better memory capacity for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and although they both have exactly the same 32 GB internal storage, the Alcatel JOY TAB 2 also has an external memory slot that holds up to 256 GB.
The Alcatel JOY TAB 2's processing unit is very similar to the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 one, and although the Alcatel JOY TAB 2 has less CPU cores , they both have the same RAM amount. Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features improved battery duration than Alcatel JOY TAB 2, because it has a 20 percent greater battery capacity.
Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a slightly better camera than Alcatel JOY TAB 2, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same 1920x1080 video definition, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 also has a much more mega pixels back-facing camera.
Galaxy Tab S 8.4 costs more than the Alcatel JOY TAB 2, but it's still a convenient choice, because you can get a lot more features for that extra money.
