Comparison review
Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is a bit better than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, getting a 74.5 score against 67.9. Both of these tablets use Android OS, but Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has 4.4.2 version while Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has Android 4.4 version. Even though Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 were released only a few months apart, Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is way lighter and somewhat thinner.
Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 have similar screens, because although the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a just a little lower display density, and they both have an equal resolution of 1600 x 2560px, it also counts with a little bigger display. Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features a slightly better storage capacity to install applications and games than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, because although it has only 32 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with an external memory card slot that admits up to 128 GB.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a bit better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, although it has 1 GB less RAM and a lower number of cores (but faster). The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features a very superior battery duration than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9. Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with a little bit better camera than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9. Both have the same 1920x1080 video quality, the same video frame rate and a same resolution back facing camera.
Even being the best tablet of the ones we are comparing, Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is also a bargain compared to the other tablets.
