Comparison review

Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is a little bit better than the Google Nexus 9, with a general score of 74.5 against 74.5. Both tablets we compare here have Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has the older 4.4.2 version and Google Nexus 9 has Android 5.0 version. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 design is thinner and extremely lighter than Google Nexus 9, even though both were released with only a couple of months difference.

The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features a bit sharper display than Google Nexus 9, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a quite better 2560 x 1600 resolution and a little better count of pixels in each screen inch. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a superior memory capacity for apps and games than Google Nexus 9, and although they both have the same internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 also has an external memory slot that allows a maximum of 128 GB.

The Google Nexus 9 features a little better performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because although it has an inferior number of cores and a lower amount of RAM memory, it also counts with a 64-bits processing unit. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 takes just a bit better videos and photos than Google Nexus 9. Both of them have a back-facing camera with an 8 mega-pixels, the same video frame rates and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition.

The Google Nexus 9 has a superior battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has 6700mAh of battery capacity instead of 4900mAh.
