Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is a little bit better than the Microsoft Surface Pro 3, getting a overall score of 74.5 against 72.2. Galaxy Tab S 8.4's construction is notably lighter and much thinner than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, even when both were released only a few months apart. Galaxy Tab S 8.4 comes with Android 4.4.2 OS, while Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has Windows 8.1 Pro OS.

The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with a little faster processor than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because although it has 5 GB less RAM memory, it also counts with a greater number of cores.
