Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a general score of 74.5, which is better than the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch's 65.9 score. Both of these devices come with Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has newer 4.4.2 version while Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch has Android 4.2 version, giving a couple nice extra features. Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is a newer portable tablet, and it is also somewhat thinner and way lighter than the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch.
The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with a much sharper display than Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a lot better resolution of 2560 x 1600 and a much greater number of pixels per inch of display. Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with a slightly better storage for games and applications than Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, and although they both have equal internal storage, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 also has an external SD slot that supports up to 128 GB.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a bit better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, because it has a higher number of cores and more RAM. The Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch features a really longer battery duration than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has a 6800mAh battery capacity. Galaxy Tab S 8.4 shoots much clearer photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, because it has a camera in the back with a lot higher resolution and a way higher (Full HD) video quality.
Despite of being the best tablet between the ones we are comparing here, Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is also by far the cheapest one.
