Comparison review
The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a global score of 74.5, which is just a bit better than the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch's 68.7 general score. These devices use Android OS, but the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has 4.4.2 version and Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has Android 4.2.2 version, so it provides some additional features and enhanced performance. Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is a newer tablet, and it is also just a little lighter and thinner than the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with a much more vibrant display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has a little bit larger screen, a much higher 2560 x 1600px resolution and a much greater pixels quantity per inch of screen. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch and Galaxy Tab S 8.4 both count with quite similar processing units, because although the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a lower number of cores and a lower amount of RAM memory, it also counts with an extra graphics co-processor.
The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a slightly better storage for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, and although they both have exactly the same 32 GB internal storage, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 also has a SD memory slot that holds a maximum of 128 GB. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 takes clearer photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has a much better 8 mega pixels resolution back-facing camera and a lot better video resolution.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features a little longer battery duration than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has 4900mAh of battery capacity instead of 4450mAh.
