The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has an overall score of 74.5, which is a bit better than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019)'s global score of 69. Both tablets in this comparison review have Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a newer 4.4.2 version and Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) has Android 11, so it offers lots of additional features. Although the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is incredibly older than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019), it's construction is lighter and somewhat thinner.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a way better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019), because it has a way better screen density, a little bit larger screen and a lot better resolution of 2560 x 1600. Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) has a much bigger memory capacity for apps and games than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and although they both have exactly the same 32 GB internal storage, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) also has a SD memory slot that allows up to 512 GB.

The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has just a little better processing power than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019), because it has more CPU cores and more RAM memory. Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with just a bit better camera than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019). Both of them have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition, a back camera with an 8 mega pixels and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) features just a little better battery life than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has 5100mAh of battery capacity against 4900mAh.
