Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) has a general score of 74.6, which is just a bit better than Galaxy Tab S 8.4's score of 74.5. These tablets come with Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) has the newer 9.0 Pie version while Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has Android 4.4.2, so it gives lots of additional features. Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) is a notably newer portable tablet than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, although it's a bit thicker and just a bit heavier.
The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features a much more vibrant screen than Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020), and although they both have a screen with the same size, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 also has a higher resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a better pixel quantity per inch in the display.
