The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is better than Galaxy Tab A8, getting a 74.5 score against 62.6. Both tablets we compare here use Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a more recent 4.4.2 version while Galaxy Tab A8 has Android 11. Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is an much older tablet than Galaxy Tab A8, but it is way lighter and a little thinner anyway.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features a much better performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab A8. Both of them have the same number of cores and 3 GB of RAM memory. Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a lot better display than Samsung Galaxy Tab A8, because although it has a way smaller screen, it also counts with a lot more pixels per inch of screen and a higher resolution of 2560 x 1600.
The Galaxy Tab A8 has a much better storage for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory, the Galaxy Tab A8 also has a slot for external memory cards that allows up to 1 TB. Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 counts with a much better battery life than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has a 7040mAh battery capacity against 4900mAh.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 shoots much clearer photographs and videos than Galaxy Tab A8. Both of them have a same resolution camera in the back.
