Galaxy Tab Active 3 has a global score of 79, which is just a bit better than Galaxy Tab S 8.4's general score of 74.5. Galaxy Tab Active 3's body is extremely newer than Galaxy Tab S 8.4's, but it is noticeably thicker and way heavier. These devices use Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab Active 3 has the previous 10 version while Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has Android 4.4.2 version.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features a much better screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3, because it has a little bigger screen, a better amount of pixels per inch of display and a higher 2560 x 1600 resolution. Galaxy Tab Active 3 features a way bigger storage to install games and applications than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has 64 GB internal memory and a SD memory slot that supports up to 1 TB.
Galaxy Tab Active 3 has a bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy Tab Active 3 also has more RAM. Galaxy Tab Active 3 shoots much clearer videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has a much more mega pixels back camera and a lot higher 3840x2160 video resolution.
The Galaxy Tab Active 3 features just a little bit longer battery duration than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has a 5050mAh battery size.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy Tab S 8.4. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Galaxy Tab S 8.4, letting go some specifications.
