The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a general score of 74.5, which is much better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active's 67 global score. Although Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Samsung Galaxy Tab Active were released with only a couple months difference, Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is much thinner and a lot lighter. These tablets work with Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has newer 4.4.2 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has Android 4.4, providing the user a couple additional features.
Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with a much better screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, because it has a much higher 2560 x 1600 resolution, a much better screen pixels density and a little bit bigger screen. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with a little faster CPU than Galaxy Tab Active, because although it has doesn't have a GPU, it also counts with a higher amount of RAM memory and a larger number of cores (and faster).
Galaxy Tab S 8.4 takes much better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, because it has a much better 1920x1080 video quality and a back-facing camera with way more MP. Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a much bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy Tab Active, because it has 32 GB internal memory capacity and a SD memory slot that supports a maximum of 128 GB.
Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with just a bit better battery performance than Galaxy Tab Active, because it has a 10% larger battery capacity.
Despite of being the best tablet in our current comparison, Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is also by far the cheapest one, making it a great choice.
