The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a general score of 74.5, which is better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0's 64.9 global score. The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 construction is somewhat lighter and notably thinner than Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0, despite of the fact that it was released just a bit further than a year before. These tablets use Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has the older 4.4.2 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 has Android 5.1 Lollipop.
Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features a little bit better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab E 8.0, because it has 1,5 GB more RAM memory and a higher number of cores (and faster). The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a way better looking display than Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0, because it has a much higher resolution of 2560 x 1600, a lot greater amount of pixels per inch in the screen and a quite larger screen.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with a much better memory capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0, and although they both have a slot for an SD memory card that holds up to 128 GB, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 also has 16 GB more internal storage capacity. The Galaxy Tab E 8.0 shoots slightly better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, although it has a lot worse video definition and a lot less megapixels resolution camera.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 features a bit longer battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has a 2% larger battery capacity.
