Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, getting a overall score of 74.6 against 74.5. Both tablets in this comparison review include Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 has the older 4.4 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has Android 4.4.2 version. The Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 design is incredibly heavier and somewhat thicker than the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with a little more vivid screen than Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1, because although it has a quite smaller display, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 also counts with a little bit greater screen pixel density. Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 features a little bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because although it has a lower number of cores and a smaller amount of RAM, it also counts with an additional graphics processing unit.
Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a much better camera than Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1. Both have a 8 megapixels camera, the same video frame rates and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a bit more memory capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1, and although they both have the same internal memory capacity, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 also has a slot for an SD memory card that admits a maximum of 128 GB.
The Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 has a much longer battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has a 68% greater battery capacity.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, letting go a few features and specifications, but you will get the most out of your money.
