Comparison review
The Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 has a score of 78.5, which is a little bit better than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4's score of 74.5. The Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 construction is a lot heavier and thicker than the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4. Both tablets we compare here work with Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 has 4.4 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has Android 4.4.2.
Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 features a bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because although it has a lower number of cores , and they both have the same RAM amount, the Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 also counts with an extra graphics processor. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with a little more vivid display than Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2, because although it has a lot smaller display, and they both have exactly the same 2560 x 1600 resolution, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 also counts with more pixels per inch in the screen.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 has a bigger storage capacity for apps and games than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because although it has a SD memory slot that allows up to 64 GB against 128 GB, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 counts with a very superior battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has 9500mAh of battery capacity.
Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 takes slightly better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and although they both have a 8 MP resolution back facing camera and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution, the Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 also has faster 60 frames per second video frame rates.
Although Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy Tab S 8.4. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Galaxy Tab S 8.4, resigning some specs and features.
