The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 has an overall score of 75.2, which is a bit better than the Galaxy Tab S 8.4's overall score of 74.5. Both of these devices have Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has Android 4.4.2 version. Even though Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is noticeably heavier than the Galaxy Tab S 8.4, it's a little bit thinner and also noticeably newer.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with an incredibly better looking display than Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a slightly better 2560 x 1600 resolution and a better display density. Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 counts with a little bit better storage capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and although they both have equal internal memory, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 also has an external memory card slot that supports a maximum of 256 GB.

If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and give up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
