Galaxy Tab S4 is a little bit better than the Galaxy Tab S 8.4, having a score of 78.8 against 74.5. Even though Galaxy Tab S4 is a lot newer than the Galaxy Tab S 8.4, it is just a little bit thicker and a lot heavier. The Galaxy Tab S4 has a bit faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Galaxy Tab S4 also has a higher amount of RAM memory.
The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features a more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab S4, because although it has a much smaller display, and they both have the same exact resolution of 2560 x 1600, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 also counts with a quite better pixels density. Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 features a superior storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has 32 GB more internal storage and a slot for SD memory cards that admits up to 400 GB.
The Galaxy Tab S4 counts with a very superior camera than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has a much better (4K) video definition and a back facing camera with a lot higher resolution. Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 features a much better battery performance than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has 7300mAh of battery capacity against 4900mAh.
Although Galaxy Tab S4 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy Tab S 8.4. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy the Galaxy Tab S 8.4, giving up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most with your savings.
