Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, having a 78.6 score against 74.5. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e body is much newer and somewhat thinner, but extremely heavier than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4. Both of these devices come with Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e has the older 10 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has Android 4.4.2 version.
The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features a sharper display than Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e, because although it has a much smaller display, and they both have the same exact resolution of 2560 x 1600px, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 also counts with a little bit greater amount of pixels per inch of screen. The Galaxy Tab S5e features a little better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Galaxy Tab S5e also has a greater amount of RAM memory.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e counts with a lot better camera than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has a back camera with a lot better 13 megapixels resolution and a much higher 3840x2160 video resolution. Galaxy Tab S5e counts with a very superior storage to store more games and applications than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has 128 GB internal memory and an external SD slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB.
The Galaxy Tab S5e counts with a much longer battery performance than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has a 44% bigger battery capacity.
Although Galaxy Tab S5e is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy Tab S 8.4. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Galaxy Tab S5e, else you can save some money and buy the Galaxy Tab S 8.4, resigning some specifications.
