The Galaxy Tab S7 is better than the Galaxy Tab S 8.4, having an 86.6 score against 74.5. Even though Galaxy Tab S7 is a lot heavier than the Galaxy Tab S 8.4, it's just a little bit thinner and also noticeably newer. Both of these tablets include Android OS, but Galaxy Tab S7 has an older 11 version and Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has Android 4.4.2.

Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a sharper screen than Galaxy Tab S7, because although it has a lot smaller display, and they both have the same 2560 x 1600px resolution, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 also counts with a higher screen pixel density. The Galaxy Tab S7 counts with a better performing processor than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Galaxy Tab S7 also has a larger amount of RAM memory.

The Galaxy Tab S7 has much more storage capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has 96 GB more internal memory capacity and an external memory slot that admits up to 1000 GB. Galaxy Tab S7 has a superior battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has an 8000mAh battery capacity.

The Galaxy Tab S7 counts with a slightly better camera than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has a back-facing camera with a way higher resolution.

Although Galaxy Tab S7 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy Tab S 8.4. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Galaxy Tab S7, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Galaxy Tab S 8.4, giving up some specs and features.
